Core aeration is the non till version of agronomy.It is the process of
mechanically removing plugs of soil and thatch from a lawn. Core aeration
reduces soil compaction and aerates the soil.
Some experts call it
Lawn Aeration and explain the process as the removal of small cores of
soil from the lawn. They also maintain that lawn aeration helps reduce
compactation and improve the ability of the grass roots to expand into the
soil.
