  What is linear aeration?
Linear Aeration is a relatively new process of aerating a turf surface. Linear Aeration is more efficient than Core Aeration. Linear Aeration allows water to penetrate the soil and to be retained in the proper amounts. The Linear Aeration process also adds organic nutrition and soil softeners (humus, top soil, compost, sand, clay etc). The other property of Linear Aeration is to alleviate excess water.

The first process of Linear Aeration consists of adding the necessary organic matter on top of the turf. The subsequent process of Linear Aeration is to open the turf by cutting grooves the full length of the designated turf area. This cutting action allows the soil additives to enter the soil. In the same passage the grooves are closed again as not to disturb the turf area too much.

Linear aeration provides:

-smoother Turf Surfaces
-alleviates soil compactation in heavy traveled areas
-permits Proper distribution of soil additives
-allows absorption of Organic Nutrition
-promotes Superior root development
-allows for only minimal interruption of utilization of Athletic fields
-drastically reduces Disruption of actual turf surface when compared to core aeration
